  • Bernedoodles are goofy, charming, and love outdoor play as much as cuddling on the couch. They're perfect family dogs, especially fond of children, and have nearly hypoallergenic coats from their poodle parent. Their even temperaments, outgoing natures, and eagerness to please make them an excellent addition to any home, ideal for active families and outdoor lovers due to their high energy levels and love for walking and hiking.

  • Bernedoodles, in general, are highly food-motivated, making positive reinforcement training a breeze with these dogs. From an early age, they respond well to positive techniques like treats and praise, making them highly trainable. Nevertheless, training them can be challenging if you lack experience. While they are intelligent and eager to please, they may display a touch of stubbornness and caution around unfamiliar people and situations.

To address this, we emphasize early socialization, a practice that should be continued throughout their life. At just three days old, our Early Neurological Stimulation and socialization training expose them to various stimuli in a safe environment with their mother. This lays the groundwork for easy adaptation and training in stressful situations, ultimately leading to a happier life.

Manners and obedience training should be initiated when they reach 8 weeks and must continue throughout their puppy years to prevent behavioural issues. This training encompasses essential behaviours such as sit, down, stay, coming when called, and more. Additionally, it covers common issues like house training, crate training, jumping up, and puppy biting.

To assist you in this process, we provide four complimentary training sessions with an expert to guide you. At Aryhart Lake Doodles, we equip you with personalized tips and tricks for raising a Bernedoodle, ensuring a rewarding journey with your puppy.

  • Coat Types:

Bernedoodles can have a variety of coat types, including wavy, curly, and straight. The type of coat your Bernedoodle has will influence the grooming requirements.

    Regular Brushing:

Regardless of the coat type, Bernedoodles typically require regular brushing to prevent matting and tangling. Depending on the coat, you might need to brush your Bernedoodle 2-4 times a week. This helps remove loose hair, distribute natural oils, and keep the coat healthy.

    Professional Grooming:

Depending on your Bernedoodle's coat type and your preferences, you might opt for professional grooming every 8-12 weeks. Professional groomers can give your dog a thorough trim, clean the ears, and provide a neat appearance.
